A Kentucky mother says she saw the hand of God in her unborn baby’s ultrasound picture. She shared the image online, where many people said it looked like a giant hand holding her baby’s head.
Back in April 2022, Amanda Foster posted that her unborn son Jay had healthy kidneys, no cysts, and perfect blood flow. She was relieved to announce he was Potter syndrome free, a rare and life-threatening condition that she had feared because it took her first son Xavier when she was only 17.
She explained in a post that when she lost her first baby, she thought God would take her too, and the pain left her angry and resentful. Doctors later told her it was unlikely she would have a healthy boy since the condition is more common in males, but over time she and her husband had two healthy daughters and then Jay, who was born in 2022.
Now Foster is pregnant again with another boy they call Kyler. Early in this pregnancy, doctors found a serious heart problem called an aortic septum abnormality. Because of that, she described how she prayed before each scan, even kneeling in the doctor’s office and asking God to keep his hand on the baby.
At one of the ultrasounds, her daughter Bailey noticed something unusual on the screen and asked whose hand was holding the baby’s head. Foster wrote that she could see it too, and the picture looked like a hand cradling Kyler’s head. She said it moved her to tears and made her feel thankful for everything God has done.
By June 20, Foster shared that her son was already over 7 pounds at 36 weeks. She said he was her biggest baby yet, with practice breathing monitored and a heart rate of 132. She called him her chunky boy and said she could not wait to hold him in her arms.
