Wicked Premiere Photos Spark Heated Debate

Michelle Yeoh arrived at the Wicked For Good premiere in Singapore with a short blonde bob that surprised a lot of people because it was such a big change for her. Photos of her from the event spread fast online and people had a lot to say about how she looked before and after working on the movie.

Some fans said she looked different and they thought she seemed tired or worn out which started a whole debate that had nothing to do with her hair. Others pushed back and said the comments about her body were unfair and that people online judge women far too quickly.

Yeoh is 63 years old, and her new haircut stood out right away because it was nothing like her usual look, and even her co-stars reacted to it. In a video shared online, Ariana Grande could be heard saying You are blond before giving her a hug with Cynthia Erivo.

The hairstyle worked well with her dress, which came from a designer collection and had a metallic bodice with a sheer brown skirt that had a really unusual honeycomb style. It made a big statement and fit the vibe of the premiere.

Even with the positive reactions to her outfit, there were still people comparing older photos of Yeoh to the ones from the premiere. One person online said Guys, there is no way to find this normal and said she looked totally different than she did before filming the movie.

Another person said her co-stars also looked drained and suggested that the whole production looked demanding on everyone involved. Someone else online even wrote that the film’s director must have been incredibly bullying, which added more fuel to the discussion.

Plenty of people defended her, though and said the comments were unnecessary and part of a bigger problem with how the internet talks about bodies. One user wrote Wait, but she was already thin and said that her strapless top made it look more dramatic in the photo.

Another asked why people feel the need to judge other peoples bodies which brought even more people into the conversation. Someone else said they did not think Wicked was the issue and blamed changing trends that push extreme thinness back into the spotlight.

Yeoh stayed calm through it all, and when she spoke in an interview, she focused on her co-stars rather than the online comments. She said They do not transform. They live, they become, and she talked about how Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo balance each other with their energy.

She added that they fit together with love and great energy, which showed where her attention really was and not on the debate happening online. She did not address any of the negative comments about her appearance.

Yeoh has always been active and in shape, and she has talked about how she loved running and swimming even before her action movie career took off. She once said dance was her first love and that she trained in ballet when she was young.

She also said that as a little child, all she wanted to do was dance and she explained that the discipline from those early years stayed with her. She said you learn how to hold your body and stay strong and that it becomes part of you for life.

That background in dance helped her understand her core and her posture and she talked about how it shaped her physically and mentally. She said you learn to hold certain positions and carry yourself in a way that shows strength and presentation.
