Kelly Osbourne Fires Back At Ozempic Claims After Weight Loss

Kelly Osbourne has responded directly to comments about her body after people began questioning her weight loss.

The 41-year-old has said before that she lost 85lb after the birth of her son, Sid. She denied using weight loss drugs like Mounjaro, something her mother Sharon admitted she used last year.

Back in April, Kelly said: “I know everybody thinks I took Ozempic. I did not take Ozempic. I don’t know where that came from.

“My mum took Ozempic.”

She recently drew attention when she appeared at the launch of Juliet Sear’s signature bakeware collection at Fortnum & Mason. People online focused on how slim she looked and started speculating again.

After criticism picked up, Kelly addressed it head on earlier this week. She said questions about weight loss drugs should stop.

In a passionate Instagram rant that has since been deleted, she said: “To the people who keep thinking they’re being funny and mean by writing comments like ‘Are you ill,’ or ‘Get off Ozempic, you don’t look right’. My dad just died, and I’m doing the best that I can, and the only thing I have to live for right now is my family.”

She added: “And I choose to share my content with you and share the happy side of my life not the miserable side of my life. So to all those people, ‘f**k off’.”

The clip was later brought up on Piers Morgan’s talk show during a conversation with her mother, Sharon. Defending her daughter, Sharon said the family is still dealing with Ozzy Osbourne’s death. She explained: “She’s right. She’s lost her daddy, she can’t eat right now.”

This is not the first time Kelly has spoken about criticism over her body. She has dealt with it since becoming famous on The Osbournes when she was 15. In an interview back in May, she talked about how much attention her weight has always received.

She said: “I have been a drug addict, an alcoholic… I’ve been a complete mess, disrespectful to people, horrible, but I got more s**t for being fat than I did for anything else. It’s insane.

“You’ll never read an article about me that hasn’t got a comment about my weight.”

Kelly said the comments never really stopped, even after she lost weight. She explained: “People [would] say, ‘You’re so pretty. Why don’t you just lose a little bit of weight, and then you’ll be the total package’.

“I tried probably everything that there is out there, whether it be surgery, medication, diet and exercise. I got my mind where I needed it to be, and everything started to fall into place.”
