17-Year-Old Pheobe Bishop Missing After Failing to Board Scheduled Flight – Details

Queensland police are intensifying efforts to find 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop, missing since May 15, 2025. Last seen at Bundaberg Airport around 8:30 a.m., Pheobe never boarded her flight or checked in. She was wearing a green tank top and grey sweatpants and carrying luggage.

Pheobe, about 180 cm tall with long dyed red hair, has a sudden and unusual disappearance. Police have declared her case suspicious, seizing a grey Hyundai ix35 linked to her last known movements. Two crime scenes were identified: her Gin Gin residence and the vehicle. Authorities urge anyone with dash-cam or CCTV footage from May 15 to 18 near Bundaberg or Gin Gin to come forward.

The search now includes specialist police units and covers the Good Night Scrub National Park area. Some items possibly connected to Pheobe have been recovered and are under forensic testing.

Pheobe’s family, especially her mother Kylie Johnson, expressed deep anguish over her absence, highlighting the emotional toll on the family. Pheobe’s final TikTok post hinted at family tension and a desire to leave home for good.

Witnesses reveal Pheobe struggled in the weeks before disappearing, often appearing hungry and without money. Her flatmate, Tanika Kristan Bromley, was arrested on unrelated weapons charges; police have found firearms in the seized Hyundai. Another housemate, James Wood, has been questioned but is not suspected.

Police continue to investigate leads and appeal to the public for any information to help bring Pheobe home safely.
