Actress Kelley Mack, known for *The Walking Dead*, passed away on August 2, 2025, in Cincinnati at age 33. Her family shared the news via CaringBridge and Instagram. “She was a bright, fervent light who will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express,” her sister wrote.
Kelley died after a battle with diffuse midline glioma, a rare, aggressive brain and spinal cord cancer. She revealed in January, “Due to the biopsy surgery on my spinal cord, I have lost the use of my right leg and most of my left leg.” Despite this, she remained positive, relying on her family, boyfriend Logan Lanier, and her faith.
In January, she began proton radiation therapy, describing it as like “filming a futuristic spaceship scene.” By February, she felt “very positive,” and even voiced a national commercial. After completing treatment in March, she traveled to Florida to focus on recovery.
Kelley earned a cinematography degree from Chapman University and built a steady acting career in L.A., appearing in *Chicago Med*, *9-1-1*, and more.
Her passing follows the loss of TV icon Loni Anderson, who died August 3 at age 79. Both women leave lasting legacies of courage and creativity.
