Simpsons Creator Urges Fans To Delete Fox News

“The Simpsons” is gearing up for its 37th season with an impressive lineup of guest stars — and a bold message from creator Matt Groening.

At the San Diego Comic-Con panel, producers announced appearances from Kieran Culkin (“Succession”), Glenn Howerton (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”), Albert Brooks, Cole Escola (“Oh Mary”), Danny Pudi (“Community”), Adam Pally, and brothers Brendan and Domhnall Gleeson. The annual “Treehouse of Horror” episode will feature Idris Elba, Michael Keaton, and Viola Davis, with guest animation by Stan Kelly from *The Onion*.

Groening, alongside executive producers Matt Selman and Mike Price, reflected on the show’s legacy since 1989. Known for sharp satire, fearless humor, and a steady stream of celebrity cameos, “The Simpsons” has remained a cultural powerhouse. While often credited with eerie “predictions,” the creators insist it’s all about clever storytelling — not prophecy.

Groening joked that he thought the show might end after Season 36 but now says, “There’s no end in sight… until somebody dies.” He even quipped that when “you-know-who” dies, there will be dancing in the streets — unless “President Vance bans dancing.”

In a more serious — yet cheeky — moment, Groening urged kids to “grab the remote, go to menu, vertical controls, and delete Fox News,” framing it as a way to “liberate Republican parents from the MAGA cult.” His blunt political advice sparked conversation about media bias and misinformation.

With Season 37 set to deliver both star-studded fun and fearless cultural commentary, Springfield’s wild ride is far from over.
