Major shifts’ ahead for Prince William and Kate, reveals insider

The British royals have been through a lot during the last year or so. From Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis and the rumors surrounding her health condition, to King Charles dealing with cancer himself, there has been an outpouring of public sympathy and media scrutiny.

When Kate Middleton made her first public appearance at the Trooping of Colour, a special event that celebrated the king’s official birthday, the public felt relieved. It was a sign that the beloved Princess is returning to her royal engagements and the public life.

However, although time has passed, Kate seems to be finding it hard to balance between her private and public life. Her name appeared on the carriage list for the Royal Ascot where she was to have joined William in the second carriage. They later confirmed that she would join King Charles and Queen Camilla instead, according to People.

Kate has always been a much-loved member of the royal family, not only by the public, but also by the royals themselves.

Her relationship with her father-in-law has been a close one since the start.

However, according to Christopher Andersen, author of The King, this doesn’t mean Charles — or Camilla, for that matter — would advise the Princess of Wales on how to be a queen when the time comes.

King Charles was so impressed with her grace and grit that he bestowed a singular honor on Kate, making her a Royal Companion of Honour, an unmistakable sign of his faith in her ability to help carry the monarchy forward,” he told Fox in early 2025.

“But beyond that, the king is not about to be giving Kate advice about being a future queen. That would simply give oxygen to the notion that he might not be around much longer, and Charles III intends to stay put on the throne for years to come.”
