Tressa Middleton: A Story of Hope and Strength

Tressa Middleton at the age of 12 years and 8 months gave birth to her daughter Annie and made the headlines in 2006 being Britain’s youngest mother. The pregnancy angered the country and changed the life of Tressa for the rest of her life. Tressa was born in 1994 in Broxburn, Scotland and was raised up in a very rough upbringing with a mother who was struggling with addiction. At age four, she was placed in care and had to struggle numerous times in her life.

Tressa was assaulted sexually by her elder brother Jason, when she was as little as eleven years old, and owing to this contribution, Tressa got pregnant. And when Tressa was seven, Jason would threaten, blackmail, and bribe to get her to do what he wanted. Tressa’s life got into a downward spiral after childbirth. she struggled with a heroin addiction, sadness, and pain in her history.

With the help of her fiancé – Darren, Tressa found the strength of rebuilding her life even though she was surrounded by the gloominess of her past. In 2018, she gave birth to another daughter, Arihanna, after having overcome her addiction. Tressa has come clean on her past as she wrote a book on her life and bared her struggles in public.

Tressa’s story is inspiring for it combines optimism and the determination to succeed. She has continued with her life and forgiven her brother, Jason who was given a four year jail term for raping her. Tressa now lives with her family in Bathgate, Scotland, and she is excited for her forth child. Her tale is proof of the courage of the human spirit that will survive and atone.

Tressa’s relationship with her children is complicated, especially with her first daughter Annie who was put for adoption. Tressa has spoken of the suffering about being separated from her daughter and the battle of accepting the past. Tressa is making efforts to build a better life with her kids after working with her current boyfriend, Darren, whom has provided her with stability and love.
