As I reflect on my journey with my wife’s daughters, I am reminded of the importance of family, love, and respect. When they demanded that I pay for their weddings, I was taken aback by their audacity. However, I saw this as an opportunity to teach them a valuable lesson.
My wife, Mary, and I have been married for ten years, and I have always tried to be a good father figure to her three daughters. However, two of them, Sandra and Amelia, have always kept me at arm’s length. They would often criticize me and compare me unfavorably to their biological father.
When they asked me to pay for their weddings, I was hurt by their entitled attitude. I decided to propose a deal to them: I would help with their weddings, but only if they agreed to live with me for three months and treat me with respect. At first, they were resistant to the idea, but the prospect of a free wedding eventually won them over.
